Literature Text

She walks through the park,
When it's windy and cold.
In the nighttime when it's dark,
Dark just like her soul.

The street lights glow when the sun should die,
They shine a bit of hope.
Light reflects off her blank eyes,
While she silently tries to cope.

And she watches her shadow,
As it stretches out on the grass.
It feels as if the nighttime should go,
Her constant companion will shatter like glass.

She walks against the blustery weather,
Flowing black hair, like the hours of the dark.
Her heart is burning so much, she's without a sweater,
Each night she walks through the park.

Out in the distance,
When the winds are chillingly howling.
Her shadow will dance,
And she starts bowing.

Now as time ticks away,
She's always regretful.
She knew she shouldn't stay so long,
But she's quite forgetful.

And when the sun begins to rise,
The night disappears.
The darkness is disguised.
The girl is no longer here.

She walks through the park,
When it's windy and cold.
In the nighttime when it's dark,
Dark just like her soul.

Always, like her soul.

In the park, remains her soul.
Thought of this when I was walking through the park at night, while helping my friend walk her dog. =w=
